Like all Zildjian, K Customs cast bronze cymbals, are exclusively poured and cast from raw molten metal. All casting is cooled and separated by weight for each cymbal model. Then castings are put through multiple sequences of heating, rolling, shaping, hammering, and lathing techniques unique to each cymbal range. These cast bronze cymbals have a harmonious, full-bodied sound that improves with time. Zildjian K0998 also have greater projection, clarity, and durability than any other cymbals. The Zildjian cast cymbals are created from the Zildjian secret alloy, which is constituted of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver.
