Ibanez RGDMS8-CSM RGD Axe Design Lab Series 8-String Electric Guitar, Classic Silver Metallic

YOU CAN ALSO PURCHASE THIS ON

The RGDMS8 is a multi scale model featuring fanned frets with a 27.2″ (692mm) scale length at the eighth string and a 25.5″ (628mm) scale length at the first string. The equalized string tension this design allows contributes to a more “alive” tone while the fanned fret layout provides an ergonomic platform for the player’s hand as it moves up and down the neck facilitating speed and comfort. The RGD series guitars have a body based on the RG series but with special bevels and deep scoop cuts in the horns. In addition to the multi scale design the RGDMS8 features a nyatoh body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard with split offset white dot position markers. Components include independently mounted Mono-rail fixed bridges; a pair of active Fishman Fluence humbucking pickups with white covers, a coil-split toggle and a push-pull Fishman voicing toggle on the volume; a plastic nut; and Gotoh MG-T locking tuning machines.

Brand

Ibanez

Ibanez is one of the first Japanese musical instrument companies to gain a significant foothold in import guitar sales in the United States and Europe, as well as the first brand of guitars to mass-produce the seven-string guitar and eight-string guitar. The company has an impressive lineup of products ranging from instruments to pedals and accessories, and have recently raised standards and eyebrows with the new AZ Series, which Josh Smith described as the best superstrat he’s played in a long time.
