Maple is lighter than hickory and allows Zildjian to make a larger diameter stick without the weight of a hickory stick. The Maple Acorn is a nicely balanced stick with an acorn tip for a dark, woody cymbal sound. These light sticks allow for delicate playing while giving you something to hold on to.
