The V50 features a dreadnought body with a laminated spruce top on agathis back and sides. The round soundhole has a black and white decal rosette and a black pickguard. The mahogany neck has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated Ivorex II saddle in a rosewood bridge with ivory Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, an Ivorex II nut, a black pickguard, and chrome Ibanez covered tuning machines.
