Pearl’s Elite Series Dub Bass Cajon is constructed using blended Meranti and White Teak for the body with a blended Maple faceplate. The Dub Bass Cajon is unique with its sound ports appearing on the front. The internal sound chamber channels the deep bass out of the front-facing ports. The 50/50 faceplate is half screwed on and half glued, producing an amazing resonance. Most cajon faceplates are either 100% glued on or 100% screwed on, but we discovered blending the two methods produced the best acoustics with this cajon. 3 sets of fixed snare wires positioned at the top of the cajon add to the crisp attack.
