Ibanez LB1-VL Lari Basilio Signature LB Series Electric Guitar, Violet

The LB1 features an ash body bolted to an S-Tech roasted birdseye maple neck with a compound radius S-Tech roasted birdseye maple fingerboard with 22 stainless steel frets, mother of pearl dot position markers and Luminlay side dots. Components include custom Seymour Duncan pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the neck and middle positions, a Gotoh T1702B two-point synchronized tremolo bridge with brass saddles, a bone nut, an angled output jack and Gotoh locking tuning machines with height-adjustable posts. The LB1 employs a dyna-MIX9 switching system (see diagram below) with an “Alter switch” toggle which allows the user to access nine distinct tones. The Alter switch allows the player to access two modes with the single coils connected in series creating a tone similar to a second humbucker.

Brand

Ibanez

Ibanez is one of the first Japanese musical instrument companies to gain a significant foothold in import guitar sales in the United States and Europe, as well as the first brand of guitars to mass-produce the seven-string guitar and eight-string guitar. The company has an impressive lineup of products ranging from instruments to pedals and accessories, and have recently raised standards and eyebrows with the new AZ Series, which Josh Smith described as the best superstrat he’s played in a long time.
