The JS140M features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with a Quantum humbucker at the bridge and an Infinity RD single-coil sized humbucker at the neck, an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge and Ibanez tuning machines. The body material was changed to American basswood for 2022.
