Seymour Duncan SH-1B ’59 Model Humbucker Pickup – Bridge

The 59 Model bridge pickup is a full sounding, versatile P.A.F. style humbucker with an articulate treble attack, full bottom end, and scooped midrange. Vintage style coils designed to give it an airy quality that keep this pickup planted firmly in the P.A.F. family. The alnico 5 bar magnet, and vacuum wax potting have been added to compensate for lighter guitar strings and louder amplifiers than were ever used in the 50s. The result is a pickup with tons of old-school tonal character, but with a brighter top end, and a more compressed sound.

Brand

Seymour Duncan

American company Seymour Duncan is well-known for its bass and guitar pickups, as well as its effects pedals. They are a true powerhouse in the guitar industry, and Seymour Duncan himself serves as their CEO. Founded in 1976, it didn't take long for these to be combined with the Floyd Rose trem system and found in Kramer guitars. From there, these pickups spread quickly to instruments made by Fender, Gibson, Yamaha, CHarvel, ESP, Ibanez, Jackson, Schecter, and a plethora of other manufacturers.
